Port Panama City is located at 5321 W. Highway 98 in Panama City, Florida 32401
Driving from the East (Tallahassee — From interstate I–10, take exit 130 towards Panama City. Follow US 231 S for 47.1 miles. Follow US 98W to Seaport Drive, take a left at the traffic signal and enter the Port area.
Driving from the West (Pensacola) — From interstate I–10, take exit 85 to US 331 towards Freeport, Fl. Turn left at Highway FL-20E, turn right on FL-79 S, turn left at Back Beach Rd. (US 98E); after crossing the Hathaway Bridge, turn right at the first traffic signal onto Seaport Drive and enter the Port area.

Port Panama City has easy access to both the Gulf of Mexico and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway from its Dyers Point location on St. Andrew Bay. (30 Degrees 10.775’N 85 Degrees 43.825’W)
Deep Water Channel and Turning Basin
Port Panama City is situated on the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, which bisects St. Andrew Bay. From this location, the Port has easy access to the Gulf of Mexico by means of an 8.9–mile channel that runs from St. Andrew Pass (known as the West Pass) to the Port. Channel characteristics, as authorized by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (the Corps), include:
- 1.1–mile, 450–foot wide Approach Channel.
- 3.7–mile Bay Channel that connects the Approach and Branch Channels.
- 3.4–mile, 300–foot wide Branch Channel that connects from the landside end of the main entrance (Bay) channel westward to Dyers Point.
- 55–acre turning basin located off of Dyers Point.
Shallow Water Access
The Port is directly situated on the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway that runs along Florida’s Gulf Coast and is maintained by the Corps to a 12–foot working depth. The Mobile District of the Corps has jurisdiction over the portion of the waterway from Rigolets, Louisiana, to Apalachee Bay, Florida, approximately 380 miles, which includes the stretch that bisects St. Andrew Bay and serves the Port.
